A screenshot is an image of the content of the screen or a part of it. Screenshots are also called "screen captures".

We will now add a screenshot into the Bringing_Presentation_to_Life.pptx* presentation, into the slide with the heading “Screenshot”.

Afterwards, the slide might look e.g. like this:

In PowerPoint, on the tab Insert, in the group Images you can find the Screenshot button, with which you can add a screenshot to your presentation.

The most efficient way to add a screenshot is to use the screenshot functionality in Windows. It works the same way in all Windows versions.

Activate the window you want to take the screenshot of.
Press the keyboard shortcut Win+Shift+S.

The screen will go grey, and in the upper edge, a menu bar appears. From it, you can select the shape of the screenshot and whether you want a screenshot of the active window or of your whole screen.
If you chose a rectangle or a freeform screenshot, crop the area you want to take into the screenshot.
Navigate to the slide where you want to add the screenshot and paste the screenshot by pressing the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V

Try different pre-made styles for the picture, and choose what you think looks nice.
