Installing Teams
Teams is the Microsoft 365 software for teamwork, collaboration, meetings, file and data sharing. In this course, we'll learn how to join a Teams call or meeting and how to work there. Teams, however, is a much broader entity.
Anyone can join Teams meetings, but to install the program and use all its features, you need an Microsoft 365 account.

If Teams is not already installed on your computer, you can find it at the Microsoft 365 web site

Click on the program icon to launch the browser version of Teams.

Click on the button Get the Windows app on the page that opens, and your browser will start downloading the installation package.
When the download is complete, click on the downloaded file. This will start the installation. If you are presented with a window asking you to choose whether to save or execute the file, select execute. Follow any other instructions. Teams is then installed on your computer.
Info: Browser and desktop versions
A browser version of Teams is also available in addition to the desktop version you have installed.
The versions are very similar, but the browser version does not have all the features of the desktop version. In addition, the features available in the browser version may depend on the browser used.

The easiest way to distinguish the browser version from the desktop version is the address bar at the top - where webpage addresses, such as "google.com", are typed. The image shows the address bar: So Teams is open in a web browser, such as Google Chrome.

Below is a picture of the desktop version. It's open on the desktop like any other application, such as Word or Paint. We recommend that you use this desktop version of Teams, which means that you always open it from an icon on your desktop or by searching for it using the Windows search function.

Once you have installed Teams, it will start automatically on your computer.
On the other hand, if you use Teams software infrequently, its automatic startup can be annoying. You can turn off automatic start-up by.
Open the Settings application by typing "Settings " in the Windows search box (bottom left of the screen) and pressing Enter.
Click on Apps in the list.
Click on Startup in the menu on the left.
Find Microsoft Teams in the list on the right and click On lever to position Off .
